What We Do

Hands-on Learning!

The Tantramar Wetlands Centre offers hands-on environmental education programs to students, teachers, and the general public. Using 40 acres of freshwater wetland as a classroom, visitors become active participants, and learning routinely involves getting wet! TWC offers half-day and full-day activities geared to school groups off all sizes, ages, and grade levels. While TWC specializes in activity-based programs focusing on wetland ecology, professional staff can, upon request, offer specific activities that address other environmental topics and issues. Indoor laboratory space is available on site to further support outdoor adventures and give participants the opportunity to examine their findings ‘up close and personal’!
